The 2021 Scholastic Book Fair theme is "One World, Many Stories."
This theme focuses on exploration and celebration of stories that connect us to our world, our people and cultures, and each other. Scholastic Book Fairs hopes to encourage readers of all ages and backgrounds to explore the many stories of the world to better understand our global community.
The team at Scholastic has worked to select books and activities that provide an immersive experience, along with creative hands-on activities as part of the fair. Themes related to this year's theme include exploration of stories of perseverance, hope, friendship and acceptance.
At the fair, readers will explore stories from different countries, regions, and cultural backgrounds in a variety of genres. Young readers might explore a variety of cultures in books like Ada Twist, Scientist by Andrea Beatty, Danny's Great Escape from the Nazis by Daniel Glick, and We All Join Hands by Deb Norris.
Families can even get involved in activities together at the fair. The fair includes re-enactments of stories from different cultures, readings, and music.
