I'm not familiar with a movie specifically about the Numbers by Rachel Ward, however her novel created quite a stir when released in 1983. The story is about a group of people born on the same day in different years who begin dying on their 33rd birthday. There is a lot of speculation about what the cause could be, whether it's a curse or something more sinister. The film rights to the novel were optioned not long after it was published, but to my knowledge, no movie has been made yet.
