The book of Numbers in the Bible is the fourth book of the Bible and contains 36 chapters. It is part of the Pentateuch, the five books of Moses. In Numbers, we read about the children of Israel being prepared for their migration from Mt. Sinai headed to their promised land.
The book of Numbers is primarily a story of leadership and faithfulness. Additionally, the book contains several regulations and laws given by God to the Israelites while they were wandering in the wilderness. It also contains many significant events that occurred such as God calling Gideon to lead the Israelite army against the Midianites and the journey of the election of Aaron and Hur.
Numbers is book in which God continues to be faithful to His people despite their disobedience, as well as showing how important it is to choose and lead wisely. All in all, the book of Numbers contains 36 chapters, spanning over 651 verses.
