There is no set APA 7 page layout, as the requirements for each project will vary. However, there are some general guidelines that can be followed to ensure your paper is formatted correctly.
In general, an APA 7 paper should:
- Be double-spaced
- Have 1-inch margins on all sides
- Use a 12-point Times New Roman font
- Include a running head on the left side of the page (title of paper in all capital letters)
- Include a page number on the right side of the page
The title page of an APA 7 paper should include the title of the paper, the author's name, and the institutional affiliation. The abstract page (if included) should come next, followed by the main body of the paper. The reference list should be the last page of the paper.
For more detailed information on how to format an APA 7 paper, please see the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Seventh Edition.
