The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee: Native America from 1890 to the Present, by David Treuer – This sweeping history tells the story of Native Americans in the United States from the Lakota point of view.
The Duchess and the Dragon, by Isabel Sterling – In this YA fantasy, a young woman must team up with a dragon to save her kingdom from an evil queen.
We Are Blood: A Reckoning with Racism in America, by Kapka Kassabova – This memoir from the author of Street Without a Name looks at her experience as a Bulgarian immigrant to the United States, and how racism has affected her life.
