This can be done in a few ways, depending on what you're trying to achieve.
If you're looking to insert a single image into your InDesign document, you can do so by selecting the File > Place command from the top menu. This will open up your system's file explorer, allowing you to select the image you wish to insert.
If you want to insert multiple images at once, you can do so by selecting the File > Place Multiple Files command. This will again open up your system's file explorer, but this time you'll be able to select multiple images to insert into your InDesign document.
Alternatively, if you're looking to insert an image into a specific frame that's already been created in your InDesign document, you can simply select the frame with your mouse and then use the Place command (File > Place) to insert your image.
Once your image has been inserted, you can use the various tools in the Control panel to resize and reposition it as needed.
