What's the best way to design a book interior?

How do you design the interior of a book? How do you make the pages look good? How do you make the pages easy to read? How do you make the book look inviting? I want to make a book that people will want to read, and I want it to look good, too. I'm curious as to what others do to design the interior of a book. Perhaps I can get some ideas to improve my book's interior!

The first step is finding a book cover template. You can find many online or through your word processing program. Once you have found a template, you will need to add your own images and text.
