There are a total of 4 sections on the GMAT: Analytical Writing, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative, and Verbal. The Writing section, also known as the essay section, is comprised of one essay question that you will have 30 minutes to complete. This essay will be an argument analysis, in which you will analyze the reasoning behind a given argument and discuss how well-supported the argument is. You will be scored on a scale of 0-6 on your essay, with 6 being the highest score.
