How to outline text in after effects

There are a few different ways that you can outline text in After Effects. You can use the stroke effect, the track matte effect, or the text animator. Each of these methods has its own advantages and disadvantages, so you'll need to decide which one is right for your project.

There isn't a one-click solution for this, but there are a few methods you can use:

Create a solid layer the same color as your text. Then use the tracking tools to track the solid to the text. Finally, set the solid's opacity to 50% or less.
Use the pen tool to draw a mask around the text. Then use the stroke effect to add a stroke to the mask.
Use the follow path tool to create a path that follows the outline of the text. Then use the trim path operator to trim the path so it only goes around the outline of the text. Finally, use the stroke effect to add a stroke to the path.
