There are three types of product placement: embedded, interactive, and branded.
Embedded product placement is when a product is placed in a TV show or movie without the audience knowing it was placed there. For example, if a can of Coke was placed on a table in a scene of a TV show, that would be considered embedded product placement.
Interactive product placement is when a product is placed in a TV show or movie and the audience is able to interact with it. For example, if a character in a TV show was using an iPhone and the audience was able to see them use it and hear them talk about how much they love it, that would be considered interactive product placement.
Branded product placement is when a product is placed in a TV show or movie and it is very clear that it was placed there. For example, if a character in a TV show was driving a BMW and the audience saw a close up of the BMW logo, that would be considered branded product placement.
