When you are writing a paper and want to cite a chapter from a book, how do you do it? I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly.I'm writing a paper and I want to cite a chapter from a book. I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly. Can someone help me?

In MLA format, a book chapter is cited as follows:

Author(s). "Title of Chapter." Title of Book, edited by Editor's Name(s), Publisher, Year of Publication, pages.

For example:

Davies, Robertson. "Outers." The Black Maria, edited by Stanley Hochman, Harper & Row, 1971, pp. 23-35.

Refer to the chapter as a "chapter" in the reference list entry. Cite the author of the chapter, the editor of the book, the book title, the chapter title, the publishing information, and the page range where the chapter is found.

For example:
