Resizing an image proportionally in InDesign is a pretty straightforward process. Here are a few tips to get you started:
- Launch InDesign and open the image you want to resize.
- Select the picture and click the "F8" key to bring up the "Transform" window.
- In the Transform window, add the new dimensions in the "H" and "W" fields. Entering a value in any one of the "H" or "W" fields will proportionally resize the image.
- To keep the proportions of your image intact, make sure to check the "Constrain" option.
- After entering the desired size in the Transform window, click anywhere on the InDesign window and the image will be proportionally resized.
You can also use the "Scale" tab in the Transform window to resize the image according to certain percentage. This can be particularly useful when you don't know the exact new size of the image.
