Criminal Minds follows the lives of a team of elite FBI profilers as they use their expertise to investigate a variety of cases from serial killers to terrorists. While the show focuses on crime and justice, it also touches on the personal lives of the characters and their own relationships. Over the course of the series, various members of the team will build relationships and even fall in love.
Most notably, Derek Morgan and Penelope Garcia were one of the first relationships to spark on the show. They start off as flirty friends and eventually fall in love, even becoming engaged at one point. However, due to Morgan having to leave the BAU (behavioral analysis unit) to protect his family, the pair eventually decide to take a break.
There have been other relationships that have stood out during the show's run, such as JJ's relationships with Will and later, Sean. Also, Rossi had a brief relationship with Krystall, while Matt Simmons fell in love with a woman named Mae during his time with the BAU. Some of these relationships faced challenges and eventually end in heartbreak.
Overall, while Criminal Minds may be mainly focused on crime and justice, the show doesn’t forget to focus on the personal lives of its characters, including their relationships and developing love interests.
