Citing a chapter from a book Springer is easy as long as you have the relevant information handy. Here are the steps:
- Start with the author's last name, followed by a comma, then the first initial and middle initial (if available).
For example: Smith, W.,
- Follow by the year the book was published inside parentheses.
For example: (2019)
- Include the chapter title inside quotation marks.
For example: "Chapter Title"
- Then add the book title, in italics.
For example: In: Title of the Book,
- Include the editor of the book, if there is one.
For example: edited by John Smith
- Follow by the place of publication, publisher and page numbers that include the chapter.
For example: Place of Publication: Publisher, pp. 20-30.
The resulting example will look like this:
Smith, W. (2019). "Chapter Title." In: Title of the Book, edited by John Smith, Place of Publication: Publisher, pp. 20-30.
