A typical travel or commuter tumbler will usually have a single wrap printing area that’s 8" wide and 10.5" tall. However, running a good size bleed will take up some more space, so the entire file should be 8.5" wide and 11" tall.
For larger tumblers, like the 30oz tumblers that commonly have a double wrap, the printing area is slightly larger. For a double wrap, you would need to create your design around either a 10" wide and 7.5" tall or a 9.5" wide and 10" tall area. Just like with smaller tumblers, it’s recommended to run a bit of a bleed to make sure you don’t have any unprinted edges.
When printing for tumblers, you should also pay attention to the DPI of your artwork. A slightly higher DPI of about 360-400 will ensure that the details of your design come out sharp.
