What techniques do you use to teach proofreading to students? What tips do you have to help students become better proofreaders? What are some of the common mistakes students make when proofreading?I like to start by having students read their writing aloud. This helps them to identify any mistakes or areas that need improvement. I also provide them with a checklist of common mistakes to look for. Finally, I encourage them to use online tools like Grammarly or Hemingway to help them identify and correct their mistakes.I'm interested to hear what other teachers do to help their students become better proofreaders.
