Acknowledgement and dedication are two separate things.
Acknowledgement
Acknowledgement is a formal recognition of the contribution of someone to a project or task. It is an act of appreciation and gratitude to people who helped you or inspired you to complete a project. Generally, acknowledgements are made at the beginning or end of a book, article or research paper, or in the verbal or written acknowledgements at the end of a seminar or presentation.
Dedication
Dedication is a personalized statement of gratitude or appreciation towards someone or something. It is a creative expression of love, admiration and appreciation for all the contributions of a person's life. Unlike acknowledgement, which is about recognizing the efforts of people for the task, the dedication is more about expressing your gratitude for the individual's life and achievements. Generally, dedications are presented at the beginning of a book, article or research paper.
So, the difference between acknowledgment and dedication is that acknowledgement is a formal recognition of the contribution of someone to a project or task, while dedication is a personalized statement of gratitude or appreciation towards someone or something.
