Interactive PDFs created in Adobe InDesign can be previewed before exporting. This is a great way to make sure the interactive elements are functioning properly and any changes you've made appear as intended.
To preview an interactive PDF in InDesign, open the interactive PDF you want to preview. Then, go to the View tab and select Interactive. This will enable the Interactive mode and display the interactive elements as they will look on the finished product. Note that this mode won’t show any live links you may have added.
If you want to preview the links, you’ll need to export the PDF to Acrobat or Reader. You can do this by going to the File menu and selecting Export. Choose the PDF format and make sure to select the Interactive checkbox. Once exported, open the PDF in either Reader or Acrobat and use the Preview Links or Preview Changes commands from the Edit menu to preview your interactive PDF.
By previewing your interactive PDF in InDesign and then in Acrobat or Reader, you can make sure that all of the elements of the PDF appear as intended. This will help you create a finished product that is speific and accurately reflects the functions of your original design.
