Custom formatting is a powerful tool for making your data easier to read and understand. With Excel, you can customize the appearance of selected cells by changing the font, font size, text color, background color, etc.
Here’s how to do custom formatting on selected cells:
Select the cells or range of cells you want to format.
On the Home tab, select the command “Format Cells” in the Font group.
In the Format Cells dialog box, select the Font tab. Here you can select the font type and size, decide whether you want the text in bold, italic, or underline, and also change color.
On the Alignment tab, you can adjust the alignment of the text, set a vertical and horizontal alignment, and use the Merge Cells function if needed.
On the Border tab, you can adjust the borders of the selected cells and choose different line styles, colors, and width.
On the Numbers tab, you can control how numbers, dates, times, and currencies are formatted.
Once you are done making changes, click the “OK” button to apply them to the selected cells.
