At this time, there are no confirmed plans for a sequel to the 2019 movie The Rise of Skywalker. The film was the ninth and final installment of the Star Wars Skywalker Saga so it is unlikely there will be a direct sequel at this time. Whilst this may be disappointing news for some fans, there are still plenty of projects within the franchise for fans to get stuck into.
Disney Plus, for example, has recently been home to the Star Wars shows The Mandalorian and The Clone Wars. These are great for fans of the franchise and offer a completely different way to explore the world of Star Wars.
Lucasfilm have also recently released a series of upcoming films in the Star Wars franchise, such as Rogue Squadron and Lando. Whilst we don't yet have much information about these films, they could potentially offer a new perspective on the franchise and could be seen as a spiritual successor to The Rise of Skywalker.
In any case, it doesn't look very likely that there will be a direct sequel to the 2019 movie The Rise of Skywalker. However that doesn't mean fans will be left wanting for new stories and projects in the ever-growing Star Wars universe.
