Do professional baseball players use metal bats?

There seems to be a lot of controversy over whether or not metal bats should be used in professional baseball. What are your thoughts?I personally think that metal bats should be banned from professional baseball. I think that they give the hitters an unfair advantage, and that they can be dangerous to pitchers and infielders.I'd like to hear what others think about this issue.
